TENCEL
FABRIC
Tencel is the registered trademark of the manufacturer Lenzing for lyocell. It is a 100% natural and very sustainable fabric. Tencel is made of wood pulp from eucalyptus wood. This wood comes from special, sustainably managed forests. Tencel is skin-friendly, silky soft and biodegradable. It has good moisture and heat regulation, falls smoothly and hardly wrinkles.
CARE
We advice to wash your tencel garment at 30 or 40 degrees. Do not wash it on temperatures higher than 40 degrees, as it may shrink. We also recommend washing your tencel item inside out and being careful with sharp objects, such as zippers. You can also wash your tencel garment in a laundry bag to protect it.
Some Tencel fabrics may feel a bit stiff after washing, but this will soften again when dry. It is best to let your tencel garment dry on a hanger or lay flat to dry. Do not put tencel in the dryer as it may shrink.
Tencel hardly wrinkles and therefore does not need to be ironed. If necessary, it is best to steam your tencel garment or iron it on a low temperature.
